(AC01223) Heat Shield for a surround shelf will allow you to install a combustible mantel closer to the fireplace. The Heat Shield will prevent the mantel from overheating. You can lower a mantel up to 8-Inch lower than the installation instructions state for the mantel height above the fireplace.
